WHAT IS OUTRAGEOUS LOVE?
Understanding the distinction between ordinary and Outrageous Love is the doorway to the mysterious - both in the Cosmos and in life. Ordinary love is an experience of the human personality, which feels separate from all that is, grasping for some measure of security and comfort. Outrageous Love is the radical aliveness and purpose that animates and drives all of Reality on every level of creation, all the way up and all the way down.
You Become an Outrageous Lover!
Outrageous Love is the field of allurement—from atom, to plant, to animal, to human—that holds all of reality together. Another word for Outrageous love is what the great philosopher Plato called Eros.
But Outrageous Love can become part of your human experience. Living becomes extraordinary when we access Outrageous Love in the course of what we call ordinary life. When you love not merely as an unconscious strategy of ego but as an expression of the Eros of existence, then Outrageous Love is awakened in you, and your entire experience of life changes.
When the very Eros of existence is awakened in you, you are awakening as Outrageous Love.
WHAT DO OUTRAGEOUS LOVERS DO?
The Outrageous Lover commits Outrageous Acts of Love. Outrageous Acts of Love can involve everything from small acts of kindness, to speaking your truth courageously, to stepping into an opportunity for service, all the way to a career shift that aligns your gifts and passions with the betterment of humanity and life on Earth.
The center of One Church is the ‘reclamation of love as religion towards a Politics of Love.’ This means that everything we talk about and create together is in service to your experiencing more Outrageous Love in your life and activating that love in action.
As we cultivate an understanding of the intimate nature of our universe and our infinitely deep interconnectedness with it, and as it, we naturally express that understanding by maturing our orientation from self-centeredness to genuine contribution back to humanity and life itself.
We believe that as every person awakens to their full potential, and commits the Outrageous Acts of Love that are uniquely theirs to take, we will awaken our collective potential in a planetary symphony of Outrageous Love in action.
