"Let us start this week by congratulating Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on being declared the winners of the election. In this email we want to share with you about the significance of this moment.
Clearly from a political, spiritual, emotional, psychological, historical perspective at this moment poised between utopia and dystopia, this is a moment of enormous significance and we have to actually thread the needle, feel the joy, feel the possibility and come together in this moment of transformation.
We need to actually tell the story today in light of a shared story.
What is the shared story that brings us together? What is the shared story that brings together the 74 million people who voted for Joe Biden, which is the largest voter turnout for any single candidate ever? And what unites those people with the 70 million people who voted for Donald Trump, which is the second largest voter turnout?
As Joe Biden said in his speech, "it's time to end the grim era of demonization."
That’s what this moment is about. Our broadcast of One Mountain, Many Paths last Sunday was dedicated to those words in Joe Biden’s speech, which is about reclaiming soul and about the end to demonization.
How do we do that? How do we do that both within the Democratic and Republican side in America and how do we do that around the world?
This is a moment of healing and healing is Eros. Eros always means becoming whole. What is Eros? It is not just a word. Eros means something very specific [Please take a look at 'A Return to Eros' here dear friends.]
Eros = the experience of radical aliveness desiring ever deeper intimacy and ever greater wholeness.
So this is a moment for coming together. This is a moment of Eros. This is a moment of healing. This is a moment of seeking ever greater wholeness after an intense period of demonization.
When Kamala introduced Joe Biden, the first thing she said about him was: "he is a healer."
What does a healer mean? Healing means: to make it whole. To make it whole means everybody is included, no one is excluded. No one is outside the circle. That is authentic Eros. Pseudo-Eros means I place someone else outside the circle in order to give myself the illusion of being inside the circle.
The demonization ends, but it is not that the demonization ends for only these people, but not those people. All demonization ends.
This doesn't mean that we don’t take stands. To end demonization is not to become flaccid instead of fierce. We are fierce and tender at the same. We do take stands. We take fierce stands for Goodness, Truth, and Beauty, for Integrity... but we move beyond demonization.
Our intention is healing. Our intention is making whole.
Our intention is to articulate a shared vision of what it means to be a human being. Our intention is to articulate a shared story of the New Human and the New Humanity which in-forms us of the core truth - that that which unites us is far greater than that which divides us.
That doesn’t mean that we think that there are not significant differences. That doesn’t mean that there’s not enormous pain. But great human and great countries and great communities transform pain into art. The art of the evolution of consciousness and culture into a New Story.
But when we don't have a shared story, a shared destiny, a shared Daemon, then we demonize. So in this clip below we are going to reach beyond demonization for our collective daemonization and weave together something new - a tapestry so beautiful and brilliant that the world gasps in awe from the stunning depths of our shocking self-recognition.
